Never override your art with selfish intentions to be perfect.
I jest, but to some degree this is a true statement. By forcing art to be great, we often forget to allow our art to have a life of its own.
Unlike many other artists, I rarely think about what I am going to draw or paint before picking up a pen or brush.
I am more likely to have a specific technique in mind before approaching a canvas for an acrylic pour. However, before putting pen to paper with my Brain Disorder art, my mind is blank.

I’m sure that is why I love fluid art; never knowing exactly what the paint will do to surprise you. As a retired professional dancer, I love having music on while painting. It has become an orgasmic muse. I get to feel the musical vibes while watching the pigments, mediums, and fire bring the painting to life.

A quick favorite quote about the topic.
“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence. – Coach Vince Lombardi
With fluid art, artists can control certain aspects of the pour while the painting begins to take its first breath. Each one of the artist’s actions is escorted by physics and chemistry, and is free to evolve into a masterpiece at any time.
What most people don’t realize, who are not painters, is that each painting is a new experience. We get excited with every new imaginative creation, regardless of how many paintings we have already done.

I never get tired of seeing this picture of my painting “Serenity” in this house. This is one of the prints I offer through Printify, an on-demand printing company.
Luckily, with the internet and social media, it is much easier for artists to get commissioned work and sell their art and prints online. This is great because I never run out of the masterpieces.

Tip for beginners or people stuck in a rut.
First, create without expectations. If you are not getting the desired result, and nothing seems to be working, then stop and go back to learning something new about your skill.
Experiment, try new things, and remember that our doubts are our traitors. Your mistakes are your instructors, and your persistence in learning is the teacher.
Peace, Love, and Unconditional Happiness!
