Abstract drawing of multiple people inside one head.

All drawings are by H. Mikel Feilen

Take One

A whimsical illustration featuring two stylized characters in a surreal landscape. One character, with a large head and a strange hairstyle, is holding a blue spherical object, while the other character, depicted with exaggerated features and a colorful outfit, appears to be in motion. The background includes abstract mountains and a setting sun.

“I usually wouldn’t bother you with this, but since you are my best friend…”

Thank God for Best Friends! Most of us have one —sometimes two if we’re lucky. The best thing about best friends is that they will listen to your constant babbling about nothing and agree with most of it.

Take Two

A colorful surreal illustration featuring abstract figures with exaggerated facial features, surrounded by whimsical scenery including mountains, dots, and celestial elements like a sun and a planet.

Hey there, Sunshine! Don’t let that little ole moon scare ya! Come on over here and enlighten us.

Sometimes friendships take a little work — but more often than not, they’re worth it.

Take Three

A cartoon-style drawing depicting a tall, slender figure with exaggerated facial features leaning down to speak to a shorter, round figure. The background includes a sun and mountains, adding to the whimsical scene.

“You know, Shorty, I really look up to you!” “Thanks, 3-eyes! Now, let’s go have lunch!”

The key to a long-lasting and full friendship is when both people have mutual admiration and respect for each other — or one of them always pays for lunch.

Oil & Acrylic — “Spring Again” Motivational Painting by H Mikel Feilen

Abstract painting featuring vibrant greens and yellows, with flowers and splashes of color depicting a natural landscape.

Friendships start like spring — a nice change. We begin to discover what makes each other happy, laugh, cry, and feel upset as we become buddies.

A bond often develops naturally between friends, no effort needed.

Humans need friends; it is our way of sharing the experience we call life. Close and dear friends share a magic that is unexplainable with words alone. It is in the actions of a person that friendship reveals itself.

Peace, Love, and Unconditional Happiness!

A whimsical caricature of a person with exaggerated facial features, wearing large glasses and having colorful hair, depicted in a playful, cartoonish style.
